My Fruit Muffins

Hi I know this is something slightly different and I know that it is the second post of today, but today in food tech we made fruit muffins and I put blue berries in mine but you can use anything.

Ingredients

*250g of self raising flour

*2 level tea spoons of backing powder

*100g of caster sugar

*230ml semi skimmed milk (the one with the green lid)

*1 egg

*60ml of oil (i would recommend something like olive oil or sunflower oil).

*100-150g of fruit canned, dried, fresh or frozen (I recommend blueberry but you can use anything).

*6 large muffin cases although you can use cupcake cases but you will have to make more and they will have to be smaller .

Method

Step one preheat oven to 180c or gas mark 4.

Mix in all the ingredients together to make a smooth bater I would recommend putting the flour and the sugar and the baking powder in a well shape by pushing it all up towards the side of a bowl add in the wet ingredients a bit at a time.

Stir in the fruit.

Divide the mixture equally into your cases.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.

Put on a cooling rack until completely cool (make sure it is completely cool as if there not they will collapse, don’t worry if you don’t they still tase lovely).

Hi welcome back to my second blog post! As you all probably know it’s lent which means one step closer to Easter.

But although lent started a while back, its not to late to give something up or to start something new!

The challenge giving something up is not to make it feel impossible by making sure that you can definitely do it that way you can feel like you can achieve something.

Giving something up can be so healthy for us providing it is not something like giving up fruit or veg or walking or school, but something more like electronics or TV or your phone E.G. lock it in a box.

Maybe one thing you can do over lent which is free and easy is to be kind to people no matter how much you might dislike them. Something small and easy can make a big difference in someones life.

So thats why my church joined in with an activity that takes place over lent, it’s called 1,000 Hours and it’s about doing 1000 hours of kindness over lent and christian or not, it’s still healthy to do things like this and just because it’s held over lent does NOT mean you can only do it at lent, its something you should do every year, every month, every week, every day.

And the best part is, you can do it anywhere!!!

Why I started a blog

Hi i’m new to this whole blog thing.

The main reason I started this blog was not for the possible fame or money. It was an inspiration from the book trilogy that I’m currently reading.

The trilogy of books are called girl online with the amazing author a beauty artist and a popular YouTuber Zoe Sugg A.K.A Zoella.

Girl online’s main character is called Penny, she loves photography and her best friend Elliot. When she finds out that the boy she has been dating for sometime is a major rock-god the world turns upside down! Then being asked to go on tour with him is an even bigger deal!! And its only when she turns down the opportunity to go on a complete world tour do things go completely WILD!!!

Another reason I started a blog is because I’m a really bad when it comes to English, spelling, SPaG and all that jazz so I thought what better way to fix that than start up a blog!

This blog will mainly be themed on acts of kindness every day or every other day and general life and friendship issues that might pop up in life.
